DELTA-DC 4073 helps the wetting and stabilization of pigments in water based systems particularly when used in combination with polyacrylate dispersing agents in emulsion paints. DELTA-DC 4073 can be effectively used in high gloss systems. DELTA-DC 4073 also finds an application as a post additive to improve the color acceptance of universal colorants in base coatings. Further, DELTA-DC 4073 can be used to disperse and stabilize inorganic pigments in aqueous universal colorants.
In solvent based alkyd system, DELTA-DC 4073 can be used to introduce up to 25% water, offering a significant cost reduction with minimal effect on drying time and gloss.
In general, DELTA-DC 4073 is typically added at 0.2-2% on total formulation. This dose is considered as a guideline. Optimum dosage should be determined by laboratory tests.
